Meet the Maker

Well, hello there!

I’m Helen, owner, and sewer of Fly a Kite Clothing. I have always been a creative person and love the happiness (and sometimes frustration ha-ha) crafting can bring me! I live in Oxfordshire with my husband and two children who you will frequently see modelling my clothes (they love it I promise!)

I found that I couldn’t always get clothes to fit my children… one very tall for her age and one wider with short legs and a cloth nappy 😉 Particularly in lockdown after my son Harry was born, getting to a shop was near impossible and so I filled the need by making clothes for us that brought us joy! It meant that I was comfortable too and didn’t have to stuff myself into tight clothes after having another baby.

I also taught myself to knit in 2014, and have a special section dedicated to knitted snuggly things ready to snap up!
